West Cove Studios and Gallery located in New Haven will be presenting a group exhibition of drawing arranged by Stephen Kobasa.
Stephen Kobasa is a critic,curator, and activist. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Mr. Kobasa when he came to visit my studio this past spring.
As an author Mr. Kobasa is both prolific and accomplished. He was awarded the first prize in Arts and Entertainment by the Society of Professional Journalists for his work with the New Haven Advocate. He continues to write frequently for the New Haven Independent where he also published his 64 article "Object Lessons" series.Mr. Kobasa has also been a contributing author to Art New England, a frequent contributor to the Big Red and Shiny, and continues to work with Artes Magazine.
The show will feature selected drawings by artists who work in a variety of mediums but utilize drawing as an important source of their process.
Among the artists on view at the A- Space of West Cove Studios will be;
William DeLottie,Polly Shindler,Tom Hebert,Alan Neider,Alison Walsh,John Keefer, Janet Passehl, Robert Brush, and Michael Quirk.
The opening reception will held Saturday,September 6th from 5PM-7PM
