First Guest Teaching Artist! Sam’D’Ambruoso
We here at Blue Horse Arts are pleased to announce our first guest teaching artist Sam D’Ambruoso. The guest artist workshops and classes will be an opportunity to experience a wide variety of instruction in perception and contemporary realism to more experimental subjects concerning creativity, abstraction and interdisciplinary media. We will be pulling from a rich pool of local area artists and also those from beyond! We will keep you posted on those upcoming workshops!

Sam D’Ambruoso will be hosting a still-life course starting October 31st and continuing to December 19th. This Still-Life painting course will be held Monday evenings 6:30 to 9PM. ( see the Workshops/Classes page for more info). This class is already filling so sign up soon!
Mr. D’Ambruoso is well known in Connecticut as a plein- air painter and holds a long time membership status in the Connecticut Plein-air Painting Association. Mr. D’Ambruoso’s resume also includes a two year appointment to the State of Connecticut Commission on the Arts and service on its Executive Committee. He was also selected by the American Artist Magazine as a landscape painting instructor for their California workshops in Methods and Materials.His work is in several corporate collections both national and International. Among his list of patrons is former Governor, Jodi Rell. His painting “Connecticut River Cove” is currently installed in the Governor’s Mansion in Connecticut. Along with some of the East coast plein-air painting workshops he conducts, both he and his wife are gracious hosts to some incredible ( and Edible!) international painting and cooking excursions through their “Traveling Art Palette Workshops” venue. Amalfi, Tuscany, Sicily, and our own Kauai, Hawaii are some the destinations they currently offer. It’s a great way to “see” the world and get your creative juices flowing!
